Men are more likely than women to suffer from mild cognitive impairment, which includes symptoms like memory loss, and problems with language, thinking and judgment.  It's often considered the intermediate stage between the expected cognitive decline of normal aging and the more pronounced decline of dementia. A Mayo Clinic study found that the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment was 1.5 times higher in men than in women.  "The finding that the frequency of mild cognitive impairment is greater in men was unexpected, since the frequency of Alzheimer's disease is actually greater in women.
